During 48th CIGRE session, held 24.08-3.09 on-line, Mr. Andrey Kucheryavenkov Director of ANTRAKS Company was selected as the representative of Russia in B2 Section - OVERHEAD LINES.
In one of CIGRE expert sessions, Mr. Kucheryavenkov has presented its scientific study: GIS system of thunderstorm activity based on big data received from fault passage indicators and from feeder monitors. According to Mr. Kucheryavenkov, implementation of such system would not require modernization of power grid infrastructure besides fault monitoring devices; it helps the dispatcher to monitor the beginning and end of thunderstorms.
